Show sub-pages

The 2014 - 2015 programme supported 12 projects that were run by the local NHS in partnership with the voluntary sector.

The overall programme was run by Patient Voice South and sponsored by NHS England. It aimed to pioneer new approaches to patient and carer participation in the design and development of healthcare services, as well as foster strong partnerships between commissioners and the voluntary/community sector.

The winning projects demonstrated a commitment to commissioning services that involve patients in their own healthcare. Typically these areas were:

  • Self-management support
  • Shared decision-making
